As our first dedicated compliance hire, you'll work directly with the Head of Legal to build the regulatory infrastructure from the ground up: covering customer onboarding, transaction monitoring, marketing reviews, regulatory filings, and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the KYB/KYC pipeline end to end: review business applications, verify identities, assess risk, and keep onboarding policies current as the business scales
- Help run our BSA/AML and transaction monitoring program: investigate high-risk alerts, prepare SARs for our sponsor bank, refine monitoring rules, and maintain the fraud and AML playbook
- Prepare all recurring compliance deliverables for our sponsor bank, including complaints reporting, testing and monitoring reports. Support compliance reviews for new product launches and assist with audits and regulatory exams
- Conduct vendor and third-party due diligence: maintain risk assessments, track monitoring obligations, and contract compliance requirements
- Review marketing materials against UDAAP, network rules, and sponsor bank requirements, and manage approval workflows with our bank partner
- Handle compliance-related customer escalations, dispute resolution, and complaint documentation
- Support the legal team on contract management, litigation support, and ad hoc legal tasks as they arise
- Build the workflows and automations for an effective and scalable compliance program
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in compliance, risk, or legal operations at a fintech, bank, or financial services company
- Solid working knowledge of KYC/KYB, BSA/AML, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring frameworks, with hands-on experience preparing SARs or regulatory filings
- Familiarity with the sponsor bank / fintech program manager dynamic, having background in card or banking products is a plus
- Familiarity with SQL, BigQuery or other data analysis foundation a plus
